This is the image for the news article titled Middle school attendance boundaries for 2018-19 approvedNorthwest ISD trustees voted to approve next year's attendance boundaries for middle schools following additional feedback regarding the proposed zones.

The approved boundaries include a zone for Adams Middle School, which is scheduled to open in August, as well as adjustments for the Chisholm Trail, Tidwell and Wilson middle school zones. The recommendation from the attendance boundary committee was first presented to the school board on Feb. 12. Following community feedback and additional boundary studies, the district recommended remaining with the original proposal.

The district will soon begin contacting families affected by rezoning with a letter, and campus communication will also begin soon. For those interested in applying for a transfer to another Northwest ISD school, the district's transfer window will open April 1. As part of the district's mission, we partner with parents and community members to provide all students with a premier education. Schools within the district share the same class sizes, standard curricula and similar facilities. The same opportunities (such as athletics and fine arts) are also be provided to students; the only differences are clubs and organizations, which are formed based on student interest and created at a campus level.
