Item Drop-Off Procedure
Process for drop-off:

Items will only be accepted from individuals listed as approved contacts for the student. (Guardians and emergency contacts). Items will be placed on the open shelf in the front foyer. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged items.

Label the item with the provided labels and filled out fully with student's name and description of item.

Scan the provided QR Code to fill out the Google form that will notify your student via email that there is an item in the front office for them. You will need to know your students email and ID number.

Drop-off should be reserved for emergency items only.
Lunches

Food delivered to the campus through a deliver service will be turned away and/or thrown away.

Lunches dropped off for students will be held until the beginning of the students lunch period.

Students will not go hungry. Parents/Guardians can also electronically add money to their student's lunch accounts at MySchoolBucks.com
Special Provisions:

Emergencies (torn pants, female issues, etc.)

Medicine - anytime. Our nurse will be called to the office to meet the parent to accept medicine; if she needs to, she will take the parent to the clinic for more complicated issues.

*students may not carry medicine on campus, except for approved items like an inhaler, with proper documentation.

As of today, we may not give out any over the counter medications without a doctors order. This includes items such as ibuprophen, tylenol, benadryl, midol, etc. This is a new procedure.

Student safety is our primary concern, including accountability for students during the school day.
Early Release Requests

Walk-in requests for check-out will not be taken after 3:30 PM.

Parents, please bring your DL with you to the front door so the receptionist can verify you and call your student down at that time.

Please plan time for us to run a pass to the student's class to notify the student you are here as well as any possible traffic delays in the area.

If you are picking up your student during their lunch, advisory, athletic, or PE period, please allow us extra time for notification.

Anyone picking up a student, other than ta parent/guardian, must be listed as an Emergency contact in the student's file. To add an emergency contact, an email must be sent for the guardians on file to Audra.Lewis@nisdtx.org to be added.
Reporting a student absence: NEW THIS YEAR FOR ALL OF NISD
(Student illness, doctors note, etc)

You will need your students ID# to complete the form.

Medical absences must have an attachment with the doctor's note to submit or you will have to submit as a parent note. (You receive an allotment of 6 per year)

The form will specify what type of documentation is needed for each absence type.
